The Home Improvement Advisory Service was established in 1993 and started as a Yorkshire based property-care and project management company. We have now grown to be a respected authority within the home improvement and property renovation sector.
Our business is based on establishing long-term relationships with our customers. Our aims are twofold:
We provide help and advice to homeowners who want to renovate, extend, or improve their homes, and increasingly make their homes more energy efficient with “green” upgrades and renewable energy systems.
Contractors who meet the standards we require pay us a registration fee to be part of our service. We promote reputable local companies with a track record of satisfied customers.
At The Home Improvement Advisory Service we operate Clients for Life policy. We understand that a good job at a fair price makes for a satisfied customer - the continued success of our service relies on repeat business from existing customers and referrals to new customers.
Why don’t you show customer ratings for tradesmen on your web-site?
We always seek customer feedback - it’s the way we know how well we’re doing. Our policy is to contact the customers directly and ask them how satisfied they were. We choose not to use the contractor rating system since the relationship between customer and contractor is not known and therefore cannot always be relied on.
