Case studies: Cavity wall Insulation

The Home Improvement Advisory Service were approached by the management committee responsible for the maintenance of a block of apartments in Leeds. They wanted to buy cavity wall insulation but wanted more information from an independent advisor.

We attended several meetings of the management committee to discuss their requirements and answer any specific concerns the residents had. We were able to advise them on the advantages of insulation, and suitability for this building. We also advised them on cavity wall insulation grants.

By bringing all the residents together in a collective agreement and working with Thias, the management committee were able to significantly increase the efficiency of the building in a way that benefits all residents. Additionally for residents on the top floor who wanted to buy loft insulation we were able to provide individual quotations.
