Damp and condensation problems ?
Dampness and condensation problems
For customers with homes suffering from rising or penetrating damp, condensation or similar problems we give advice - and put solutions in place.
Homes can suffer dampness for a number of reasons. This can be down to one or more defects in your property, rising or penetrating damp, or so called 'life-style' issues. Often it is a combination of factors.
To effectively diagnose a damp problem we need to understand how your home is used and identify problem areas. By pinpointing the underlying causes we can put in place an effective course of action.

Our specialists give advice on
- Penetrating damp.
- Rising damp.
- Condensation.
- timber rot.
Signs of damp include mould, damp patches on walls, rotting skirting boards, excessive condensation, unpleasant 'fusty' smell in the house, peeling or loose paint. Damp homes create ideal conditions for further problems like wet rot, dry rot, and woodworm.
Nowadays many older homes are used in ways that were never anticipated when they were built. By swapping draughty wooden windows with modern double glazing, replacing coal fires with central heating, taking more baths, and using appliances such as tumble driers we create and trap more moist air in our homes.
Our report is jargon free
By itself, more moist air is not usually a problem. However combine that with defects caused by poor workmanship when your home was built, or failures in parts of the structure due to age - then you can have a problem.
Our survey and report is jargon free and explains what the problem is and what the options are.
